Enabling Integrated Digital Delivery for Singapore’s Construction Industry

Optimising overall construction workflows to achieve greater efficiency

IDD for Singapore's Construction Industry

The importance of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD), one of the elements highlighted in the Building and Construction Authority’s industry transformation map was discussed during the construction seminar organised on 25th November 2019 in Singapore. Together with partners Autodesk, Singapore Contractors Association and Innocom Technologies, our experts shared how the construction lifecycle can be optimised with digital technology from start to finish.

Attended by over 100 professionals including project delivery and construction managers, designers, architects, engineers and surveyors, the seminar garnered interest from the industry to learn about new technology solutions. The main purpose of IDD is to integrate digital technologies into work processes and efficiently connect all stakeholders involved in a particular project. Throughout the construction and building lifecycle, a series of digital assets such as 3D point clouds and BIM models can be produced in order to scale and improve the workflow of its entire team - from the design and engineering experts to the final operation and maintenance specialists. This is where technology can make a difference.
